Allison Christman

Allison Christman is a UI/UX Digital Designer focused on the human factor. She loves to create something great and then improve it after usability testing. Allison focuses mainly on desktop, mobile and SharePoint websites, and has been using the Adobe Web Suite of products (including Flash and Dreamweaver) for over 13 years. She creates most websites with CSS and HTML. Allison also creates Windows 8 apps and responsive design including CSS3 and HTML5.

Amy Smith

Amy Smith has nearly 10 years of professional Talent Acquisition experience with over eight years specializing in the recruitment of high-end software professionals for various technical services firms in the Washington metropolitan area. Her passion for helping technical folks progress in their careers was the perfect marriage with Applied Information Sciences and their unprecedented growth. Amy is in constant pursuit of honing her recruitment craft and building on her knowledge base to share with her colleagues. She is actively involved with the local technical community and serves on the board of the Central Maryland ASP.NET Professionals user group and the Baltimore GiveCamp. Amy is a networking and social media enthusiast and feels the best way to build a company is through building strong relationships.

Andrew Bassett

Andrew Bassett is a software engineer with over a dozen years of experience focused primarily in .NET technologies with an extensive background in automation. Andrew spent several years as a system administrator at Marriott International developing techniques for and managing a global deployment of thousands of Windows based servers. Following that, he started doing development on custom Thin Client solutions and BlackBerry administration. At AIS he has been working extensively on developing PowerShell automation for creating SharePoint environments from scratch.

Andrew Middleton

Andrew Middleton is an Infrastructure Consultant with AIS and has over 12 years’ experience in enterprise web/portal application design, development and architecture. His clients have included large DoD customers such as the U.S. Marine Corps, Army, Navy and the Air National Guard. He has implemented enterprise class systems using various Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET, SharePoint and Team Foundation Server and enjoys using PowerShell to automate administration and reporting. After serving as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Nicaragua, he began his career in IT working for a dotcom. His technical career spans roles as a developer, integration specialist, configuration manager and solutions architect.

Arun Mudiraj

Arun Mudiraj is a Technical Manager at Applied Information Sciences and has 13 years of experience in architecture, design and development of Windows, and mobile and network applications using Microsoft technologies. He has worked on projects ranging from embedded systems to large-scale enterprise systems involving different languages and frameworks. Prior to joining AIS he worked as Deloitte, Cognizant as a lead, implementing custom solutions for verticals like manufacturing, medical devices and media and entertainment.

Ash Tewari

Ash joined AIS in May 2012 as a Senior Software Engineer. He has a Master’s of Science in Engineering from Auburn University and a Bachelor’s in Technology from Regional Engineering College in Jalandhar, India. He is passionate about creating software and finding ways to improve his craft. For more than a decade, Ash has built software components, applications and frameworks encompassing desktop and web clients, middleware components and databases. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and perspectives with the community by participating in user groups, presenting in code camps and via his blog (http://www.ashtewari.com/). Ash likes to read, watch movies and get out in the mountains for backpacking and hiking.

Ben Brouse

Ben Brouse is an AIS Solutions Architect and responsible for the execution of creating business solutions using .NET technologies. Ben brings over 18 years of experience and leadership to his position and has been at AIS for 12 years. Ben has participated in both shrink-wrap custom software and custom solutions. His expertise spans both rich-client thick applications and also highly distributed fault-tolerant applications in mission critical applications. Most recently, Ben has been focused on building distributed systems for a broad spectrum of devices in conjunction with cloud platforms. Ben is a MCP and serves in an architectural capacity within AIS.

Brent Wodicka

Brent Wodicka is a Senior Software Architect and Consultant at Applied Information Sciences. He and has been with the company since 2007, and has been active in the industry for ten years. During his time at AIS Brent has worked on enterprise class solution development with focus on .NET, SharePoint, and Business Intelligence. Most recently, he has enjoyed implementing solutions leveraging cloud and mobile offerings from Microsoft. Prior to joining AIS, Brent worked for Nortel Government Solutions and VisualPoint, Inc.

Bryan Kail

Bryan Kail is an AIS Technical Project Manager with over 10 years of experience specializing in Microsoft technologies. As a Microsoft Certified Professional, Bryan is skilled in understanding complex business processes and applying the right technologies to the right problems. Since 2009 he has led efforts to design and implement SharePoint 2010 and custom ASP.NET applications, hosted both traditionally and in the cloud. Bryan’s body of work at AIS includes applications for records management, business intelligence, case management, content management, and audio/video delivery supporting a full array of devices from desktops to tablets.

Chris Hettinger

Chris Hettinger is a software engineer with over 12 years of experience in software development with six years with the Microsoft .Net Framework. Chris has a diverse background that includes: hardware, cabling, networking, system administration and software development. Chris began working for AIS December 2011 and has been experimenting with migrating and implementing SharePoint environments in the cloud with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Windows Azure.

Chris Miller

Chris Miller is a member of the Federal Practice management team leading our efforts in the US Department of Treasury and the Department of Veteran’s Affairs. Mr. Miller has over 15 years of consulting services experience in the Washington Metropolitan Area supporting both public and private sector organizations. Prior to joining AIS, Chris spent several years developing, managing and deploying web enabled applications for the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff and the US Navy. He holds a Master's degree in Information Systems from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's from Radford University. Chris is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and is passionate about solution development. Outside of the office, Chris likes spending time with his lovely wife and his three, sometimes adorable, children. Chris is a huge sports fan and enjoys playing softball, golfing and going fishing when he can get away.

Clint Richardson

Clint has over 12 years of industry experience with extensive knowledge of network troubleshooting, security and architecture, specializing in SharePoint administration and infrastructure for the past five years. He has assisted multiple branches of the military (most recently in Baghdad, Iraq) to plan, build, and optimize large-scale SharePoint deployments in locations around the world. Recently Clint co-authored his first book, SharePoint Server 2010 Administration 24-Hour Trainer, and currently holds the position of infrastructure consultant.

Craig Floyd

Craig Floyd is a software engineer focusing on C# .NET technologies. His recent work has been on custom SharePoint solutions as well as WPF thin-client apps for government customers. His most recent contribution to the world, however, would be his daughter, who was born in early 2012. Craig received his BS at the University of Maryland at College park in Computer Engineering and his MS at Johns Hopkins University in Software Engineering.

Craig Swain

Craig Swain is an Infrastructure Consultant with Applied Information Sciences. He has over 20 years' experience in the information technology field, supporting a wide range of customer networks — both government and commercial. He has worked with SharePoint since the 2001 version. He also has a background supporting other collaborative portal solutions, off Microsoft and non-Microsoft platforms. In his spare time Craig is heavily involved with historical preservation and writing in the military history field.

Darrin Brandon

Darrin joined AIS in May 2012 as a Senior Software Engineer. He joins us from Dell where he most recently served as a Senior Advisor in the Solutions Selling Division. He grew up in west-central Louisiana, near the Texas border, and after high school joined the United States Air Force. He served for 11 years as an Intelligence Analyst and it was during this time that his passion for programming was born. He enjoys most all things .NET and has recently taken on the challenge of becoming a SharePoint developer. In his spare time Darrin enjoys coaching baseball, hunting, fishing and chilling out on the patio around the fire pit with his family and friends.

David Baber

David is a software developer with over 10 years experience developing desktop and server solutions primarily with Microsoft .NET languages. His focus has been on building next generation software for clients and brining them forward with latest technologies and software practices. For AIS, David has focused on developing automation tools in support of SharePoint, including the build out and deployment of solutions into private and public cloud infrastructures.

David Benson

David Benson is a software craftsman in the Dayton, Ohio area. He specializes in Javascript and ASP.Net development. In his free time, David enjoys building computers, reading, and fiddling with jQuery, KnockoutJS, and Python.

David Green

David Green joined AIS-Raleigh in September of 2011 as a Senior Software Engineer. During his university years he set his mind on becoming a clinical psychologist, but after graduating realized he really loved programming more and redirected his attention to software development for the web. He appreciates programs that are cleanly and well architected with a preference for minimalism when it comes to front-end UI design and database architecture. His primary areas of interest are C#/MVC4 framework, iOS programming and NoSQL systems. As a first time book author, he is currently working on writing "Pro RavenDB" for Apress publications. David holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and economics from Northwestern University and a Masters in computer science from DePaul University with a concentration in artificial intelligence. He lives in Durham, North Carolina with his wife and two kids. In his spare time he loves to read on his Kindle, watch college football and work on improving his bench press.

David Zientara

David Zientara joined AIS in 2010 with over 15 years of software engineering and architecture experience, much of it utilizing the Microsoft technology stack. His career has spanned industries such as security, digital imaging, health care, education and non-profits with organizations ranging from small start-ups to multi-national corporations. His enthusiasm is currently focused on HTML5 and JavaScript front ends, server-side solutions using technologies like ASP.NET MVC and Web API, and leveraging cloud services. David’s other passions include music, foreign languages and cultures, and travel.

Derek Hubbard

Derek Hubbard is a passionate developer, trainer and mentor with more than 12 years of experience building custom software applications. Committed to the principles of Agile development, Derek enjoys helping teams deliver high-quality applications while focusing on simplicity and continuous improvement. Elaine Krause

Elaine Krause has been a Software Engineer with AIS in Austin, Texas since December. She has 15 years of experience building Web software mainly in the Microsoft stack of tools. Having developed more than one application with custom content management features from the ground up, she has graduated, happily, to implementing CMS frameworks such as SharePoint that shorten development time dramatically. As a former U.S. Navy officer both active and reserve, she is especially proud to support the Federal Government community.

Gregory Hill

Greg is a Senior Software Engineer with AIS. He is the new iOS development "subject matter expert". Prior to coming to AIS, he spent two-and-a-half years working independently, developing his own iOS apps and pitching product ideas to businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region. He has been involved in the software industry since the mid-80s, developing and supporting applications for such companies and institutions as Sony, Wadsworth Publishing and Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Harin Sandhoo

Harin Sandhoo is a solutions architect with over 10 years of experience working with federal and commercial clients. He has extensive expertise in a wide range of technologies and development methodologies. He has most recently been working with SharePoint and cloud platforms such as Windows Azure. Harin also participates in Microsoft’s VTSP Program. Prior to joining AIS, Harin worked for L-3 Titan and ITT Industries. Harin received both his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and MBA from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Ian Cillay

Ian Cillay is a Senior Software Engineer for Applied Information Sciences in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina. He built his first Web application as part of his Masters dissertation in 1996 and spent the next 11 years building large-scale Internet and intranet applications for numerous FTSE 100 corporations as a consultant/developer in London through the dotcom boom and bust. Having passed through Perl/CGI, Java, and classic ASP, he has adhered to the Microsoft ASP.NET stack for more than a decade and over the past two years rediscovered a passion for client-side JavaScript and also the promise of HTML5.

Jack OConnell

Jack O'Connell is an Infrastructure Consultant with AIS and has over 18 years of experience in the IT field working with Microsoft technology. He supports both public and private sector organizations.

Jason McNutt

Jason McNutt serves as an Engagement Manager at Applied Information Sciences, leading an effort to build a practice around the Microsoft Dynamics CRM platform. With over 12 years of software development experience, working with various teams, Jason has become well versed at every stage of the development lifecycle. He has extensive experience in the Microsoft Stack of Off-the-Shelf products such as SharePoint and custom development languages and tools, in environments ranging from small to large scale enterprise. Prior to AIS, Jason worked for companies such as EMC and BearingPoint creating enterprise solutions for both Federal and Commercial clients. He has his BS in Accounting from Lehigh University and his Masters in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins.

Jason Storch

Jason Storch is a seasoned solutions architect with broad experience in Portals and Collaboration, BI, Document and Records Management and e-Commerce. Since 2007, he has been designing internet/intranet portals and business applications for AIS’ clients focusing on SharePoint 2007 and 2010. Prior to coming to AIS, Jason was the Director of Software Development and Architecture of the e-commerce platform at Simplexity, one of the largest online retailers of mobile devices.

Jeff Myers

Jeff Myers is a SharePoint Analyst with the federal practice at AIS. Jeff specializes in user adoption, business process analysis and troubleshooting SharePoint environments. He enjoys meeting with customers who are new to SharePoint and opening the door to a better way of doing business. Jeff also enjoys his growing family, cooking and learning new skills.

Jesse FitzGibbon

Jesse is an Technical Project Manager with AIS and has extensive experience and expertise serving in key roles throughout the project life cycle. He has been working with primarily Microsoft technologies for over 10 years, and has been very involved with the SharePoint stack for over five years. Most recently Jesse has focused on the design and development of enterprise scale intranet and extranet platforms.

Jim Jackson

Jim Jackson is the co-author of HTML5 for .NET Developers, available now at http://www.manning.com/jackson and on Amazon. Jim has worked on rich HTML5 web applications for clients like Vogue, Rolling Stone and Playboy and is currently building an HTML5 game for the Windows App Store.

Jim Mullennix

For the past five years at AIS, Jim has developed and architected SharePoint solutions for many AIS clients. He has been working with SharePoint since the 2003 beta. With over 20 years of experience in the software development arena, Jim has developed shrink-wrapped software, designed and implemented relational databases, built systems on real-time operating systems, programmed robots and built a variety of business applications using the full spectrum of Microsoft development tools.

John Wickerham

John is a Software Engineer working at Applied Information Sciences. He started writing software in the early 90s focusing on scientific and engineering solutions. Since then, John has been involved a variety of small and medium sized business applications. Recent experience has emphasized .Net solutions with Javascript and JQuery. In his spare time, John likes working on his turbo-diesel VW Jetta.

Jon Overholser

Jon Overholser is a practice manager at Applied Information Sciences with responsibility for all Midwest operations. With over 14 years experience as an accomplished technical lead and software engineer in the passive remote sensing field, he puts emphasis on team development and establishing and incorporating best practices into daily project activities.

Joseph Funk

Joe joined AIS in 2006 as a software engineer and currently serves as a project manager in the Federal Practice. Joe has 15 years of industry experience in multiple disciplines including infrastructure, system administration, software development, and project management. With a focus on the Microsoft technology stack, his breadth of practical design and implementation expertise has contributed to multiple projects for federal customers. Most recently, Joe's projects have been centered around SharePoint 2010 and have included a Records Management implementation for a large federal customer as well as development of an enterprise-wide SharePoint composite application that included Azure technologies.

Joseph Klein

Working as an Alliance and Market Development Manager for AIS allows Joseph to build marketing programs for a forward thinking innovator in the technology field. AIS is a fast growing and an innovative company, and that environment offers challenges and opportunities for him to create new programs in the markets they serve. As an added dimension, Joseph works with Microsoft and their partner program to bring their ideas and innovations to market as a part of a robust set of services through his work with market development. He has worked for AIS for 5 years.

Kevin Aenmey

Kevin Aenmey is a Senior Software Engineer at Applied Information Sciences. A native South African, he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Technology in 2001, immigrated to the United States in 2006 and currently resides in Raleigh, NC. He loves technology, loves to code and has been providing solutions to organizations using the latest Microsoft technologies throughout his career. As a lifelong learner he is committed to continuously growing in the art of programming.

Kevin Griffie

Kevin Griffie is a Practice Manager at AIS, responsible for the delivery of solutions to our commercial clients in the North East corridor. He has over 28 years of experience in the IT industry with a diverse background in both software and infrastructure across a wide range of environments. Kevin’s current mission is to work with our clients to help them leverage new technology in ways that help them transform their businesses. His current focus areas include cloud-based solutions, mobile device information delivery and Windows 8. Kevin has been with AIS for 25 years.

Kevin Hennessy

Kevin Hennessy is a Senior Software Engineer with AIS in Raleigh, North Carolina. He holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.A. degree in English from Yale University. He has over 14 years of experience as a developer, team lead and solutions architect working at the intersection of people and technology on web-based projects using the Microsoft technology stack. He recently authored an article on KnockoutJS for JSMag, and has spoken at code camps and user groups on a range of topics, including Knockout, JsRender, and agile methodologies.

Kip Streithorst

Kip Streithorst is a Senior Software Engineer at Applied Information Sciences. Kip has over 10 years of software development experience and has worked on both large and small projects. His experience encompasses multiple languages and types of projects, ranging from large-scale C++ desktop development to ASP.NET MVC projects using the latest HTML5 technologies. When not programming, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Larry Katzman

Larry Katzman is a member of the Federal Practice management team leading AIS efforts in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security-Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of State. Larry has over 15 years of professional services experience, mostly in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, supporting both public and private sector organizations. Since joining AIS in 2000 as a Software Developer, Larry has served in many AIS roles leading to his current position. He holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Management from the George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting & Management Information Systems from Northeastern University. Larry is a passionate about working with business users and technical teams to design, develop, and deliver innovative solutions. Outside the office, Larry spends the bulk of his time with his wife, three children and two dogs.

Lindagrace De la Cruz

Lindagrace De la Cruz is a Senior Technical Trainer and Business Analyst, with over seven years experience in developing and delivering training programs focusing on Microsoft applications. Her solid relationship mangement experience, performance training, and sales background, paired with her Training Generalist Certification from Langevin Learning Services, provide Lindagrace with the ultimate edge in building and delivering dynamic, custom-tailored training programs that both excite and engage the user, as well as promoting effective, and lasting, knowledge transfer. A seasoned public speaker, she has presented at national conferences as well as on television. She is currently in charge of development and delivery of all training efforts at the Department of Treasury. Lindagrace has lived abroad for more than half her life, in locations to include Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Mexico City, Mexico and Madrid, Spain. Developing an early love of cultures and languages, Lindagrace speaks Spanish, Tagalog, Portuguese and a little Italian. She received her BA from Georgetown University in Washington DC where her degree focused on Spanish, Business and Theater.

Matthew Dupre

Matt is a Solutions Architect at AIS and has been with the company since 2000. During his time at AIS he has designed and built a large variety of different business applications on web (ASP.NET) and smart client (WinForms) platforms for AIS' commercial, nonprofit, and federal customers. Since 2008, Matt has focused on large SharePoint environments (2007, 2010, and 2013) including designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting those environments and the custom applications that they host. In addition, he has recently been working with the Cloud based infrastructure hosting offerings of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Windows Azure.

Nick Ovuka

Nick is a Technical Project Manager with over 11 years experience in all aspects of custom software development focused on Microsoft Technologies. Since joining AIS in 2007, he has developed software for clients in a variety of industries including Health Care, Telecommunications, Legal, Finance and most recently Maritime Shipping. Nick has a BS in Integrated Science & Technology from James Madison University as well as many technical certifications.

Patrick O'Gorman

Patrick O’Gorman joined AIS in 2007 and has over 12 years of industry experience. Patrick is part of the AIS San Antonio office and helps with the design and development of information systems for both local and remote clients. He has a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Texas State University and currently lives in New Braunfels Texas with his wife and two daughters. He has been working with Microsoft .Net and SharePoint technologies since 2001 and currently focuses on custom SharePoint and Dynamics CRM solutions, often integrating the two technologies.

Peter Joyce is a software developer and architect with a strong background in SharePoint and .NET in both the commercial and federal environments.

Raj Agarwal

Raj is the Practice Manager for AIS India, responsible for operations, finance and project executions. For the past decade, Raj's focus has been in building global delivery teams to reduce time to market while leveraging cost benefits. Prior to joining AIS, Raj was responsible for building service lines at Microsoft and leading distributed teams to deliver mission critical projects with various clients including Toyota, Cigna, ING, Marriott and DoD. With a strong technical foundation and an entrepreneurial spirit, he covers the bits & bytes to dollars & cents journey with aplomb. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Texas Tech University and a Bachelor's from Bangalore University.

Richard Kearse

Richard Kearse is an Application Support Specialist on Delta Team with over four years' experience in hardware and software technologies. Coming to AIS in October of 2012, Richard brings a small arsenal of CompTIA certifications, government contracting, non-profit, and a teaching background in hopes to help the company continue to grow and maintain its positive impression with clients and prospects. When spare time is available, Richard likes work on his comic strip, modify cars with his brother, and get outside.

Rita Nordenman

Rita Nordenman is a Business Analyst working for the Federal Operations team. With experience in college and technical recruitment, Rita brings a passion for people to each of her projects.

Ron Sanseverino

For over 20 years, Ron Sanseverino has worked as a Software Developer on such diverse areas as real time/embedded systems (in Assembly), desktop applications, client/server, as well as web development. He has had experience coding in a wide array of languages, from the more exotic, such as LISP & SNOBOL, to the more commonplace C# & Javascript. He currently is a SharePoint Developer with the AIS Federal Practice.

Ryan Cromwell

Ryan Cromwell is a coder by trade with over 10 years of experience delivering solutions ranging from real-time customer loyalty systems and elegant user experiences to streamlined statistical process control software. Having worked with passionate, high-performing Agile teams, Ryan ventured into the world of Scrum.org training and Agile coaching to replicate those amazing experiences. Ryan is co-founder of the Cincy & Dayton Clean Coders user groups, co-organizer of Southwest Ohio GiveCamp, and all around software community ally. Ryan has led presentations on effective team development, and various topics such as Agile, Scrum, Software Craftsmanship, WPF, Single Page Applications, Software Patterns and more. Sahas Lad

Sahas is a Technical Manager at AIS India with over 12 years of experience in developing applications using Microsoft technologies. He is Azure Certified and likes to explore latest trends on cloud computing. Prior to joining AIS, Sahas worked for DELL, HP and other Fortune 500 companies responsible for developing, delivering & supporting mission critical applications for business.

Sam Larko

Sam Larko has been working with SharePoint for six years and across the last three versions. While his experience is primarily in development, Sam has become more involved in administration and architecture over the last three years. In addition to SharePoint, he has a strong desire to become involved in mobile development, especially Android and Windows Phone.

Sangita Parikh

Sangita Parikh is the test lead at AIS with over 22 years of software testing experience. She is a certified test manager (CTM)with proven leadership skills. She successfully implemented the test practice at AIS within her first year and implemented the testing processes. Sangita Parikh led the testing of client server, Web, intranet, SharePoint, mobile, cross browser/cross devices and tablet testing efforts. Her passion for testing and software testing experience resulted in delivering software products with zero defects. Prior to joining AIS, Sangita Parikh worked at Salliemae, Perot Systems, Integic, Northrop Grumman and ComScore.

Sanjeev Bhutt

Sanjeev is a Solutions Architect at Applied Information Sciences and has been with the company for almost a decade. Sanjeev has been leading teams developing custom .NET business solutions for a large financial services company. Prior to joining AIS, Sanjeev managed the development of 'shrink-wrapped' software products. Sanjeev has an MSEE and BSEE from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Scott Hoag

Scott (MCITP, MCPD) is an Infrastructure Consultant with Applied Information Sciences. With over eight years of experience, Scott has been utilizing the .NET platform and various content management systems to develop and deploy solutions for clients. From MCMS 2002 to SharePoint 2010, Scott primarily focuses on collaboration and ECM solutions for clients.

Stephen Iacovelli

Stephen joined AIS in 2013 as a Principal Software Engineer, bringing with him over 24-years of progressive experience in all aspects of systems design, implementation and management. He has led and managed complex technical implementation projects for clients in various sectors and industries including banking, insurance, printing, telecommunications, manufacturing, retail and national defense. For the past two years, Stephen has focused his efforts on development mobile applications on the Android, iOS, and Windows Phone platforms. He has a Master’s of Science in Information Systems from Roosevelt University, in Chicago as well as a Bachelor’s in Computer Science. Currently a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Stephen has nearly 30-years of combined enlisted and officer service in the Army.

Steve Michelotti

Steve Michelotti is a Microsoft ASP.NET MVP and a contributing author for Pluralsight training. In addition, Steve is a frequent presenter at developer user groups and Code Camps along the East Coast and holds the MCSD, MCPD, and MCT certifications. Steve is an avid blogger (http:/geekswithblogs.net/michelotti), has contributed articles to Visual Studio Magazine, and his work on high performance web solutions was featured on Channel 9. Currently he is serving as an Architect/Developer for Applied Information Sciences (AIS) where he is leading a multi-year effort to modernize the business systems of a major insurance carrier. Previously he was the Chief Technologist at e.magination where he consulted with clients including Advertising.com/AOL where he was the Tech Lead for one of the highest volume .NET applications in the world.

Steven Suing

Steven Suing is a practice manager for Applied Information Sciences and is responsible for overseeing the new North Carolina office. With over 12 years of experience, Steven has built an excellent record of delivering technical solutions for companies in a timely and efficient manner. Using his past experience and his business background, Steven has been able to mentor his team, recruit developers, and stimulate the growth of the fledgling North Carolina office. Steven is the Vice President of the Triangle .Net User group in Raleigh. He is heavily involved in the technical community and is passionate about the software industry and new technologies. Outside of AIS, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and two girls, especially doing outdoor activities and science experiments. He is a woodworker and competitive racquetball player.

Terence Wiles

Terence Wiles is a Content Manager with more than 10 years of extensive writing and editing experience. He is now utilizing strategic brand management skills and marketing expertise to contribute to the success of AIS' marketing efforts by developing compelling content. Having worked in a wide array of creative roles, as well as the in the health and information technology sectors, he is extremely adept at integrating communication, marketing and public relations efforts to maximize brand awareness, recognition, constituent buy-in, sales and community mobilization.

Terra Gilbert

Terra is a Software Engineer working for Applied Information Sciences. She began her career in the Accounting field and soon discovered that computers were far more interesting. From those first experiences managing JDEdwards EnterpriseOne and automating balancing spreadsheets bloomed a thirst for knowledge in databases and applications. Terra returned to school to study database design and information technology. She has been working in the industry for the last 4 years, learning as much as possible along the way.

Tim Larson

Tim Larson is originally from Atlanta, GA, but somehow he's been transplanted to Dayton, OH. During the day, he's proud to work with amazing developers at Applied Information Sciences. While he's getting more into JS/CSS/HTML, he's traditionally worked in the .Net world. There are so many new technologies, but there are just too few hours in a day... After work, Tim heads home to his amazing wife and two sons. His boys delight him to no end, especially when building with Legos or playing in the creek.

Tom McKearney

Thomas has been with AIS for almost 10 years. His background has been varied and has been involved in nearly all mission critical development areas, including Automated Weather Observation, Phone Switch Management, Financial Software, Facial Recognition, Fingerprints, Document Management Systems and Military Battle Simulation Software, etc. He has developed at all levels, from on-chip Smart Card development and Embedded systems up to large scale distributed systems deployed to Azure. The last 10 years he has been almost exclusively doing .NET development in C#. He is leading a multi-year Azure-based project for a large commercial jewelry store chain. Some of his specialties are: Software Architecture (Analysis, Design and Implementation), general problem solving, various .Net-related toolsets like Azure, WPF and Silverlight. He is also technical reviewer on various books, including Silverlight 4 in Action, Silverlight 5 in Action and Scratch 1.4 Beginner’s Guide.

Tom O'Connell

Tom is responsible for the operations, sales, marketing and corporate development teams at AIS. Tom joined AIS in 1990 and was initially responsible for the product management and sales of an AIS mainframe interoperability product. His efforts contributed to over $35 million in sales around the world. For the past decade, Tom has been instrumental in developing our position as a premier Microsoft partner. Prior to joining AIS, Tom designed and developed satellite control centers for NASA, including the Hubble Space Telescope. He also held various positions at Unisys Corporation eventually managing Federal pre-sales personnel for Army, Navy and CIA accounts. Because of the roles Tom has performed during his 30-year career, Tom has built a deep contextual knowledge of most of the innovations that have occurred in software engineering and application architecture.

Venkat Varkala

Venkat Varkala is a SharePoint Architect, with more than 7 years of SharePoint development experience. He specializes SharePoint, Javascript and mobile technologies. In his free time, Venkat enjoys developing Apps for various Smart Phone devices and Smart TV's.

Vinita Agrawal

Vinita has been with AIS for almost 7 years developing SharePoint solutions. She is also interested in Windows 8 and mobile development. Prior to AIS she worked at VCU-VISSTA, where she developed people skills. She completed her MS in Computer Science from VCU and her B.E in Electronics and Communications from Bangalore University.

Vishal Gamji

Vishal is a Data Architect at AIS with over eight years of experience in designing and implementing large scale data warehouses, and over four years of experience leading diverse and remote Agile teams. Vishal's work in the consulting domain prior to joining AIS spans various areas; the majority of which are the healthcare sector of managed care, medical devices & COTS products. Vishal has extensive expertise in the Microsoft Business Intelligence domain working with clients like CDC, Amerigroup, Medtronic Inc. & TeleTracking. Vishal received his Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Vishweswariah University, India and his Masters degree in Computer and Information Sciences from University of South Alabama. He is currently enrolled in the part-time MBA program at the University of Maryland majoring in Marketing & Strategy and is planning on graduating in Spring 2014. Vishal is also a Microsoft Certified IT Professional in SQL Server technology.

Vishwas Lele

Vishwas Lele serves as Chief Technology Officer at Applied Information Sciences, Inc. Mr. Lele is responsible for assisting organizations in envisioning, designing, and implementing enterprise solutions. Mr. Lele brings close to 24 years of experience and thought leadership to his position, and has been at AIS for 18 years. A noted industry speaker and author, Mr. Lele serves as Microsoft Regional Director for the Washington, D.C. area and is a member of Windows Azure Insiders group. Additionally, Mr. Lele received an MVP (Most Valuable Professional) for Solution Architecture.

Warren Steger

Warren Steger is a Principal Business Analyst as AIS with over 30 years of experience in the IT industry. Over the years, he has worked on projects in many different domains including spacecraft support systems, telecommunications, insurance, transportation, energy services, finance, and state and federal government. In his current role, he provides support to clients in developing and managing requirements for systems. He also helps clients adopt Agile software development practices. Throughout his career, he has also performed the role of project manager, solution architect, developer, tester, and support operations staff. Warren currently is a member of Microsoft’s Business Platform Technology Advisors group and a member of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA). Prior to joining AIS, Warren worked for CSC, Verizon, and Iridium LLC. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Washington and Jefferson College and his Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University.

William Shepherd

William Shepherd joined AIS in 2012 after graduating from Trinity University with a B.S. in computer science. William is part of the San Antonio office and works as a software engineer. He has been working with ASP.NET and other web technologies for two years and is currently learning SharePoint.
